When the COVID-19 pandemic required libraries to close, the Cook County Law Library developed a remote access program to ensure that County residents were able to access legal information from their homes. This program was vital for ensuring a continuity of services for those with limited access to digital technology—not only as they engaged in the legal system, but as they needed new ways to access an increasingly digital economy as the pandemic unfolded.
