The Department of Children and Family Servicesâ (DCFS) Coordinated Services Action Teams (CSAT) are regionally-based, clinical management groups established to assist Children's Social Workers (CSWs) identify family strengths and needs and match those needs with community-based mental health services. CSAT teams coordinate assistance and support for families and reduce service duplication. CSAT provides office-based expertise to CSWs which supports navigation of complex child welfare, health, mental health, education, regional center and social services agencies. To ensure appropriate service delivery and compliance with the Katie A. Settlement Agreement, CSAT teams manage and enter information into the State of Californiaâs Child Welfare Services/Case Management System (CWS/CMS) and the Referral Tracking System (RTS). Reports are developed which track timelines for use and provision of services, and provide outcome data.
