Our program seeks to unite our constituents with the day to day work of our county. Our volunteers participate in over fifteen departments throughout the year to help extend our services, support our programs, and engage our communities. With our volunteers, we are able to offer extended services that don't increase our operating costs and save our constituent's tax payer dollars. Last year alone, we were able to save almost one million dollars by utilizing our volunteers and interns. With this approach, the county can offer more resources as well as tackle opportunities that otherwise could not be done by paid county staff or contract work alone (think Buckthorn removal in our county parks).
