Year: 2014

In 2010, the County Attorney’s Office re-envisioned our diversity and inclusion efforts with the goal of increasing our capacity to provide culturally competent services to the citizens we serve, and creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive organizational culture to ensure all employees have the opportunity to achieve excellence in their jobs. The County Attorney’s Management Team committed its leadership to this effort coined “Culture Change Through Committed Leadership.” We engaged a Diversity Coordinator to review past efforts and to facilitate our future activities. In 2011, we developed a framework and purpose statement and shared our plan with the office. In 2012, six committees of employees from across all divisions and job classes convened to evaluate key functions and provide recommendations for improvement. In 2013 the County Attorney’s Office implemented Phase 1 of the high priority recommendations. Today, the County Attorney’s Management Team is overseeing Phase 2 of the implementation.
