The mission of Charlotte County is to deliver exceptional service, even during a global pandemic. Eight months after the world shut down, the Charlotte Sports Park opened its gates to the public for a Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans concert. Within the three weeks following the concert, the Recreation Division hosted two more public events, which served nearly 3,500 community members. These events are now the cornerstones of safety for how Community Services approaches all activities offered to the public.
