Year: 2020

The Los Angeles Countywide Youth Bridges Program (CYBP) serves as the County’s Public sector strategy to identify Nextgen County employees and establish equitable career pathways for vulnerable populations. CYBP is operated by Los Angeles County Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services (WDACS). Youth ages 16-24 engage in 120 hours of paid work experience at one of 35 County departments. After this, youth are eligible for a year-long internship with benefits. This strategy works to increase awareness and access to public sector employment, foster interdepartmental collaboration, and ultimately promote Living Wage jobs.
