Countywide Prevention Metrics (CPM) is a set of metrics developed to track our progress towards achieving Countywide Prevention Plan goals. Namely, for every child to be healthy, to be growing and thriving in strong families, and to be supported by safe and nurturing communities. The Prevention Plan recognizes the holistic effort required to strengthen families and communities to prevent child maltreatment. The County identified a set of?impact?and?actionable?indicators to serve as guideposts for strategic and operational improvements in the County's broad-based prevention programming and policies. By tracking both types of indicators, we ensure alignment between strategic and operational goals, and departmental employees can see how their work contributes to the overall success of the County's service delivery and client outcomes. These indicators are published on the County's Open Data Portal so that the progress and impact of Countywide Prevention Plan related efforts are transparent to stakeholders and the public. This is in line with the vision that everyone ""owns"" prevention and shares responsibility in achieving it.CPM was developed by Los Angeles County Office of Child Protection (OCP) and the Chief Information Office (CIO
