Counseling Cove is an outreach program for homeless youth, providing case management and other intensive services. The Counseling Cove program was designed to address the youth’s complex and delicate needs by first addressing the immediate emotional and physical crises, and then promoting healing by providing resources to help the youth evolve toward a life off the streets. Prior to its start-up, outreach services were provided to homeless youth, but mental and emotional health services were not available to kids on the streets. This program helped to meet a gap in services.
