Dedicated in July of 2010, Montgomery County Government’s Silver Spring Regional Center unveiled “The Community Living Room Initiative at the Silver Spring Civic Building at veteran’s plaza.” Located in the heart of Downtown Silver Spring, an area that has experienced commercial and economic revitalization over the last decade, this initiative provides a unique, dedicated public space to engage community members to come together to work, live, and play.
