Correctional Health Services (CHS) uses the Human Resources Database (HRD) application to support its unique administrative operations with common employee data from ADP (Maricopa County Payroll System). CHS uses ADP data differently than other Maricopa County departments, and therefore needs to augment the ADP data with information that the CHS Human Resources department enters. Specifically, CHS has a business need to track licenses and other credentials for the healthcare professionals that work for Maricopa County. This new application replaces two legacy systems that proved difficult to support as well as its inability to provide any further extended functionality. The HRD application was built using modern web technologies and provides CHS with an application that enables the business to meet its current needs while also providing a reliable and extensible framework for future business needs.
