Choices and Chances is a film that covers youth issues of texting while driving, bullying, drinking, drugs, abuse, PTSD, survivor guilt, and teen suicide. This film can be used by any community to start a conversation about these difficult topics. Choices and Chances may also be shown as a teaching aid in course curriculum. The film is packaged as a tool kit that includes the film, instructions, Q&A sheets to help start conversations, resources from community organizations, and a list of subject matter professionals available upon request to attend your showings The film premiered to sold-out audiences March 30 and 31, 2019 at Regal Cinema in Port Charlotte. More than 20 organizations have scheduled showings. The film won the Award of Excellence in the Children/Young Adults category at the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors’ 2019 Government Programming Awards.
