Charlotte County Community Services implemented a staff training plan for the Parks & Natural Resources Division (Parks) and Recreation Division (Recreation) in 2017. This initiative was the result of an analysis of all job classifications within these divisions and the required certifications of each training. Implementation of the plan resulted in the delivery and documentation of all required staff training for full-time, part-time and seasonal employees. Through the utilization of internal resources, distance learning and community partnerships, Community Services offered these trainings efficiently and cost effectively resulting in a better prepared and more engaged workforce.
