In an effort to make the Information Technology (IT) function more responsive, transparent and accessible to County employees, the Montgomery County Department of Technology Services (DTS) deployed a new solution called Ask the County Chief Information Officer (CIO). This on-line platform provides County employees with a simple to use, easily accessible employee Intranet based tool with which to engage the County’s IT team and executive leadership. Employees may submit questions and/or comments on-line and participate in live, interactive, on-line discussions with Montgomery County’s CIO, Mr. Harash (Sonny) Segal. Selected questions are answered during a future Ask the CIO session conducted by Mr. Segal himself. The application is accessed by County employees directly on the County’s Intranet at the following URL: http://portal.mcgov.org/askthecio.
