Age Wise’s 24/7 Hotline Expands Seniors’ Access to Vital Services

The San Bernardino County Department of Aging and Adult Services – Public Guardian (DAAS-PG) implemented the Age Wise 24/7 Senior Hotline program to enhance the senior population’s access to assistance and resources. The Age Wise 24/7 Senior Hotline ensures that vulnerable seniors are able to reach a licensed clinical therapist by telephone 24-hours per day, seven days per week to address needs including, but not limited to emotional support, feelings of social isolation, behavioral health treatment, crisis intervention, education and linkage to resources. The goal of the Age Wise 24/7 Senior Hotline is to connect with seniors, provide necessary services and mitigate situations that may prove dangerous and costly.
