Since the Charlotte County Community Services Department Recreation Division received Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) reaccreditation, one of the key focus areas of is staff training and development. In preparing for reaccreditation, supervisors made a concerted effort to ensure recreation staff has a high level of training. In recent years, the division has expanded training opportunities by adding numerous supplemental trainings. One of the trainings implemented is to learn about how to best handle situations and the various perspectives that occur in making these decisions. This training is not mandatory but provides an opportunity that allow staff to continue to grow professionally in their position within the Recreation Division and beyond.
