Mary Kingston Roche

Mary Kingston Roche is the Director of Policy for Institute for Educational Leadership (IEL), where she leads policy and advocacy efforts to promote the organization’s federal policy agenda and supports local and state leaders to advocate for supportive local and state policies. She also leads advocacy efforts for IEL’s Coalition for Community Schools. Before coming to IEL, Mary was Manager of Government Relations for the National Association of Secondary School Principals, where she represented our nation’s secondary school leaders. Mary began her career teaching 6th and 9th grade English in Oakland, California.
