Quarterly DDJ Behavioral Health and Social Services Peer Engagement Group Call
The DDJ Behavioral Health and Social Services Group is composed of individuals whose primary responsibilities address homelessness, mental illness, physical health and substance abuse treatment and recovery support services. On this quarter’s call, Arnold Ventures will present its new DDJ Playbook. Speakers will discuss how the Playbook can guide behavioral health and social services professionals in the development of DDJ initiatives. DDJ communities played a key role in developing the Playbook, sharing lessons learned and successful practices so that other communities can build from the work already underway.

Congress clears bipartisan gun reform legislation
On June 25, Congress passed and the President signed into law the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (P.L. 117-159), the first major gun reform legislation in decades. The bill makes critical changes to the process for acquiring a firearm and includes funding opportunities to assist in identifying and addressing mental health, and makes key investments in strengthening school safety. -
