National Membership Call: The Local Assistance and Tribal Consistency Fund and the Jan. 31 Deadline
The LATCF provides $1.5 billion in two equal payments of $750 million for FYs 2022 and 2023 to “eligible revenue sharing counties” under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Currently, there are 91 counties that are entitled to additional federal funds from the LATCF. Eligible counties may receive payments between $50,000 and $6 million per year for two years under LATCF (distributed in two tranches). Additionally, there are very limited reporting requirements and no deadline to invest these funds. Click here to see if your country has not yet certified. The deadline to certify for these funds is January 31, 2023. If a county does not certify by this deadline, it will be ineligible to receive either tranche of funding. We urge counties that have not yet drawn down these funds to join this call to learn more about the LACTF, eligible uses, reporting requirements and process for certifying.
