Amidst recent events highlighting racial tensions across the country and county resolutions declaring racism a public health emergency, the issue of race and its impact on the life and wellbeing of communities of color has come front and center. County leaders are aptly poised to contribute to the growing community of practice around race equity and further efforts that seek to address the current impact of race on resident health outcomes, status and quality of life.
