Education and workforce development are key in realizing upward economic mobility. Workforce development increases individuals’ skills, preparing them for better employment opportunities. This is especially important when those displaced from the labor market experience a mismatch between their skills and job opportunities. As part of the NACo and National League of Cities joint economic mobility webinar series, webinar attendees will hear how local governments are collaborating with their community colleges to strengthen their workforce development system to create bridges to promising careers for their residents.
