    Adapting Election Strategies to the Post COVID-19 World

    Esri, in partnership with the National States Geographic Information Council (NSGIC), National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), and the National Association of Counties (NACo) will host a webinar to discuss current issues facing the election process. The webinar will open with a brief discussion of the top-of-mind policy issues jurisdictions face. The webinar will end with a local government case study and go on to show examples of jurisdictions that leverage GIS technology for operational efficiency while ensuring the health and safety of the voter.

    Shifting the focus to where in your election process supports social distancing and provides alternative polling approaches such as;

    • Consolidating voting centers while considering at-risk populations,
    • Monitoring wait times and managing poll workers,
    • Optimizing ballot drop-off and polling place locations while also considering drive-through voting, and
    • Keeping the public informed about election day operations and election day results.
