Rita Reynolds

About

Rita Reynolds is the Director of Public Sector at CAI, where she champions innovation, emerging technologies, and best practices to support local governments. She brings more than 38 years of experience in local government technology to this role.

Prior to joining CAI, Rita served as the Chief Information Officer at the National Association of Counties (NACo) for six years. In that capacity, she oversaw cybersecurity for NACo’s internal technology operations and led nationwide county-focused technology initiatives. She was responsible for developing NACo’s technology blueprint and delivering programming on critical topics such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, technology infrastructure, and cloud computing.

Before joining NACo, Rita served as Chief Information Officer for the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP), where she spent 20 years advancing technology initiatives for the association and Pennsylvania’s counties. Earlier in her career, she worked as an independent fiscal and computer consultant, partnering with numerous children and youth agencies across Pennsylvania. In that role, she designed fiscal and data reporting applications, including a statewide AFCARS solution.

Rita holds a B.A. in business administration with a minor in political science from Messiah College in Pennsylvania. Over the years, she has been recognized with numerous honors, including the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania’s 2019 Moxie Award, Government Technology’s 2017 Top 25 Doers, Dreamers and Drivers, and State Tech’s “30 State and Local Government IT Influencers” for 2020.
