Apply Now: FEMA accepting applications for $100 million in COVID-19 supplemental assistance for local fire departments

On April 28, the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced the opening of the application period for $100 million in FY 2020 Assistance to Firefighters Grant – COVID-19 Supplemental Program (AFG-S), included under the recently passed Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act (P.L. 116-136). Counties are responsible for the continued operation of many essential public safety services during the COVID-19 response, including local fire and rescue.
