Tax Credit Outreach Hub for County Health and Human Services Agencies
This hub, sponsored by the National Association of Counties (NACo) and the American Public Human Services Association (APHSA), hosts information and resources on tax filing for health and human services agencies serving families eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Child Tax Credit (CTC). Both the CTC and EITC were temporarily expanded under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. Access this hub for education and outreach materials, county examples and other resources to help ensure vulnerable households access these important income supports during the 2021 tax filing season.

Counties are facing an acute escalation of the mental and behavioral health crisis. In a recent NACo survey, 75 percent of counties reported an increase in the incidence of behavioral health conditions over the past year and 89 percent reported an increase compared to five years ago. -
