    Waterscape Rebate Program Pilot

The Department of Public Works’ Watershed Protection Program is currently piloting a Waterscape Rebate Program that encourages landscape upgrades like turf replacement and rain barrels on private property that help protect and filter water run-off quality. This innovative approach to stormwater management has the dual benefit of direct investment in local communities while protecting the environment. To maximize the impact of our program, we partnered with the local water supply agency, the San Diego County Water Authority, on a portion of our rebate offerings to augment benefits that also reduce water consumption and contribute to sustainability goals for the region.
