Initiated in FY2016, Chesterfield began developing a robust data program. Through thiseffort, the county has curated a vast selection of datasets from internal and externalsources. Today, we recognize the county’s enterprise data program as StratIS — StrategicInformation Sharing. Through the StratIS platform, data is managed to support accuratereporting, offering a single source of truth and prevents duplication of efforts throughoutthe organization. StratIS leverages cloud-based technology that helps deliver dynamic toolsfor trending, predictive analysis, modeling, and reporting. By first identifying problems tosolve, StratIS then begins to identify and connect with appropriate data sources, workingto build data intelligence and then offer data modeling and insights. StratIS accumulatescomplex data to formulate analytical reviews, ultimately publishing insightful reports andoffering our citizens access to information in a way not previously available.
