Safer at Work Los Angeles is designed to invest in and build a shared responsibility approach between businesses, employees, consumers, and the communities they serve to keep each other as safe as possible while restoring our local, thriving economy. It is a comprehensive campaign that leans into our love for our community while reinforcing the interdependence of businesses, employees, and consumers, and our collective responsibility to keep each other safe in order to re-open the economy. Saferatwork.la is an online resources hub that provides resources including printable posters, social media graphics, and information on COVID-19. The campaign leverages small business social media influencers to create grassroots marketing across the many, diverse communities in Los Angeles County. Safer at Work LA is also being promoted through public art interventions such as wheat pastings, sandwich boards, and a mural. Paid media such as newspaper, radio, and social media ads spread the campaign reach even further, while the campaign efforts have garnered earned media such as articles and interviews. The widespread adoption of the campaign by businesses, chambers of commerce, cities, and individuals across the County demonstrates its success in promoting community unity to slow the spread of COVID-19 while supporting the local economy.
