In June 2022, the Los Angeles (LA) County Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) launched an internal Project Management (PM) resource via intranet known as The PMO Gateway. The PMO Gateway is digitally accessible to everyone in the Department. It was built using a SharePoint Communications Site web platform providing PM tools and resources such as document management systems, online training videos, and PMO repositories for storing and retrieving PM templates. The purpose of the PMO Gateway was to provide a centralized virtual space to provide PM support, tools, and educational resources. The PMO Gateway improved the standardization of PM forms, resources, and trainings. Since its launch, project managers have accessed it to help initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and control, and close projects successfully, on time, and within budget.
