The Department of Permitting Services (DPS) serves customers such as county residents, developers, builders, engineers, architects, faith communities, retailers, business owners, and individuals seeking permit guidance for their projects. DPS is responsible for facilitating customers through construction projects such as complex commercial construction projects, expedited projects (Green tape Projects), projects with new building design concepts, and places of worship looking to build or expand. The Division of Customer Services manages these high profile projects under established Case Management Program. The program provides a systematic approach to proactively guide applications through the permitting process and resolve land and building permitting issues before become major obstacles. The Case handling process creates a win-win situation for both DPS’s external and internal customers.
