The construction of the Public Record Business Center (PRBC) was completed in the last quarter of 2009. Within this state of the art facility, the public has the ability to research, print, store, email, and electronically fax public information. Created in the Suffolk County Clerk’s Office in Riverhead, New York, the PRBC utilizes the latest technology in electronic document storage as well as proprietary software that allows users to rapidly recall information without the usual delay associated with searchable computer software. The PRBC is well-equipped with a variety of user-friendly multi-functional workstations that allow each user to search by property address, name, partial name, similar names, and even a special “sounds like” search to give the user the best possible chance of achieving the most accurate, yet broadly targeted, set of results possible. Moreover, every user has the ability to print, save, and/or fax the information regardless of the document medium. Whether it is digital, paper, microfilm, or microfiche, by utilizing the latest technology the PRBC provides high-quality results.
