LibraryCon is an annual mini-comic-con held at the Southeast Regional Library every October. This all-ages event has grown in size and scope over the past three years and has become one of our most highly attended programs at the library. LibraryCon celebrates all of the fun and nerdy stuff that many of our customers love including: comic books, graphic novels, anime/manga, cosplay, cartoons, artists, horror movies, Sci-Fi/Fantasy books and movies, and games of all types. Many people come in costumes and participate in the different costume contests for kids, teens, and adults. There are also photo booths, crafts, trivia, tabletop and video games, prizes, and giveaways! Additionally, there are different panels about various topics, such as paranormal investigation, professions and fighting techniques from the middle-ages, cosplay, anime, Krav Maga, living history, and Game of Thrones. LibraryCon hosted 34 different groups/presenters this year, and more than 1,500 customers visited LibraryCon in 2015.
