Under the leadership of the Board of Supervisors and County Administrator, Alameda County has been on a 10-year journey to be visionary and innovative to meet the ever challenging and complex needs of its community. To be successful, Alameda County established an Innovation Journey Roadmap that ensures all employees are engaged and involved. Alameda County built upon its commitment to innovation through a series of Town Hall sessions and a new website soliciting ideas for improving service delivery so that all of the County’s 9,600 employees feel empowered to take the plunge into innovation. The new Innovate AC website provides County employees a place to get details of the innovative initiatives and programs the County has and continues to develop. It also gives employees a voice by allowing them to submit their own ideas for improving the workplace.
