Leon County is an organization that rewards its employees for innovative ideas, teamwork, efficiency, and the ability to achieve positive results. To reinforce this, Leon County created the I2 (pronounced âI-squared,â for âInnovator/Inspiratorâ) Employee Awards Program in 2014 to recognize County employees for achieving employee-led improvements that result in increased efficiencies, enhance the delivery of County services, reinforce Leon Countyâs relevance in the community, and exemplify the Countyâs âPeople Focused, Performance Drivenâ culture in the workplace. Through the I2 Employee Awards Program, employees are recognized for innovative ideas, teamwork, strategic processes, efficiency, and the ability to achieve positive results. This recognition reinforces the Countyâs focus upon continuous improvements and the importance conveying relevance in the local community. Since the programâs inception, the I2 Employee Awards Program has saved Leon County over $1,191,300 in recurring costs and $75,000 in onetime costs.
