In November 2014, Collier County Parks and Recreation in partnership with county, state, and federal stakeholders opened the long anticipated Gordon River Greenway Park. Centrally located within the Naples-Collier urban area, the Gordon River Greenway Park serves as the central trailhead and cornerstone of the Gordon River Greenway Corridor (GRGC). The GRGC functions as an ecological and wildlife corridor with a water quality improvement element while providing passive recreation opportunities to the public.
