The Golden Passport and Patriot Passport Programs are free transit passes offered by Miami-Dade County Transit to Miami-Dade County residents who are over 64 years of age, receiving Social Security Administration benefits, or are Veterans meeting certain income requirements. The Miami-Dade County Board of Commissioners requested the creation of a website that would allow customers to submit Golden Passport and Patriot Passport applications (for new issues, renewals and replacements) and securely pay the associated fees online from the customers’ location, using a mobile device or PC. The customer accesses this website using their Miami-Dade County unified login. Once logged in, the customer can submit an application and attach supporting documentation, track the status of or pay fees for an existing application, or review Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). Transit Services personnel are notified when an application is submitted and are able to review the application on a separate administration site and determine the disposition of the application and assign applicable fees.
