Wilson County Department of Social Services provides Child Support Services for the purpose of legally requiring responsible parents to support their children. The program assists individuals with obtaining support from a non-custodial parent for the child to have an economically stable home. During the Covid-19 pandemic, our Child Support staff made several changes to streamline and improve our customer service. Our improvements helped us communicate more clearly, improve safety and streamline processes; creating efficiencies for customers and our Child Support team. We implemented an early intervention toolkit, witness collection DNA, and modified court procedures.
