The County Community Service Center (CCSC) is a multi-agency office for Orange County residents seeking government assistance. Bringing together major social service agencies in the county, the CCSC’s mission is to remove barriers to service, including communication barriers and physical barriers. Therefore, the Center is multi-lingual and located at the intersection of two major county transit routes to be easily accessible by public transportation and those with limited mobility. The Center realizes the effort by Supervisor Janet Nguyen to achieve greater efficiency in county services and direct client interaction. County department representatives are regularly on-site from the Orange County Social Services Agency, Health Care Agency, Office on Aging, and other government assistance providers, such as Cal-Optima. Assistance is available on-site to assist applicants who apply for medical care, housing assistance, mental health aid, food stamps, and many others. Assistance is also provided to visitors in obtaining information about other county, state, and federal programs. In addition, the center is also being used for special events such as free flu shot clinics and public education gatherings.
