The Leadership Academy is an individualized leadership development program that offers training in Organizational Stewardship, Personal Mastery, Interpersonal Mastery, and Boulder County Business Acumen. The program also pairs current and emerging leaders in the Boulder County organization with mentors who can provide guidance about Boulder County organizational culture and values as well as individual professional development. This rigorous, year-long program of trainings, professional coaching, mentoring, and project teamwork requires commitment from both participants and their managers. Through a nomination process, elected officials and department directors identify emerging leaders, supervisors, and/or managers who demonstrate appropriate desire, initiative, and potential for the program.
