While preparing for historic turnout in the 2020 election cycle, Maricopa County knew voters would need a centralized place to find information about how to participate in up to five elections over the course of the year. With that in mind, the Maricopa County Elections Department and Maricopa County Recorder’s Office created an online “one-stop-shop” to enfranchise voters and provide transparency to the voting process. BeBallotReady.Vote and the coordinated “Be Ballot Ready” voter education campaign provided voters the ability to check their voter registration status, update their information, find polling locations, view their sample ballot, check to see if their ballot was sent, received and counted, and much more! The Spanish version, TengaBoletaLista.Voto and the “Tenga Boleta Lista” public education campaign, ensured that Spanish-speaking residents had access to the same tools.In the wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic, this resource was essential for voters to obtain critical election related information about how they can successfully and safely participate in the election.With more than 320 million impressions (ad views) and more than 600,000-page views, the Be Ballot Ready campaign helped nearly 3.4 million voters participate in Maricopa County elections in 2020.
