ActiveMONTGOMERY is a program that was developed to provide one-stop shopping for over one million Montgomery County residents and those outside of the county who patronize Montgomery County Recreation, Montgomery County Parks, or Community Use of Public Facilities. Prior to the development of this new program, all three agencies were using a program call Class. Each had the program on its own database and the three did not interface. The firm which operates the Class software, Active Network, announced it was phasing out Class and replacing it with “Active Net,” which offered a timely opportunity to make the move to combine program and facility registration. The cloud-based system can create a joint registration and accounting system to meet a majority of the three department’s needs. This streamlined, user-friendly system, unique to Montgomery County, has the ability for patrons to access all three agencies’ services, to register for services using any internet device, including a mobile device, and to provide increased security for customer and financial information. ActiveMONTGOMERY provides enhanced account management features for our patrons.
