Maricopa County Air Quality Department (MCADQ) issues between 3000 and 4000 Dust Control Permits every year. Through regulation, permits must be issued within 14 calendar days of receipt of the application. But for some customers, that time period is too lengthy to meet their business needs. In response to that need, County Rule 280 (Fees) was updated to provide for the accelerated issuance of Dust Control Permits (DCP) in exchange for a premium surcharge to be paid by the applicant.
