Tammy Tincher

Tammy Tincher is NACo's director of member engagement. She is responsible for leading efforts to strengthen relationships with county members nationwide, expanding opportunities for member participation and enhancing the value counties receive through NACo’s programs, resources and advocacy. Prior to joining NACo, Tincher was a a county commissioner and president of the Greenbrier County, W.Va. Commission. During her tenure as a county commissioner, Tincher was also a member of NACo's executive committee, serving as northeast region representative. She served in several other NACo leadership positions, including vice chair of the Agriculture and Rural Development Policy Steering Committee and vice chair of the Membership Committee. Tincher also served on the County Commissioners Association of West Virginia Board of Directors and Legislative Committee as well as the West Virginia Association of Counties Board of Directors. Tincher is a licensed insurance agent and small business owner. She received her BS in Animal & Poultry Science from Virginia Tech and lives in Rainelle, W.Va.
