Kyle Smith

Kyle Smith has served as the County Manager for Jones County for three years, leading county operations, overseeing infrastructure improvement projects, strategic planning and community initiatives. He has spent the last seven years of his career serving Jones County, previously working as the county’s Finance Director and, before that, as the Soil and Water Conservation Director. In each role, Kyle has valued the opportunity to give back to the community where he grew up and strives every day to enhance the quality of life for Jones County residents.

Kyle holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from North Carolina State University. He and his wife, Devin, have been married for five years and are the proud parents of their daughter, Peyton, and their charcoal Labrador retriever, Maggie. In his free time, Kyle enjoys traveling with his family, taking quick trips, and spending time outdoors—especially deer hunting and bass fishing.
