Konnie Tran

Konnie Tran joined NCDHHS in December 2022 as SNAP Outreach and Education Coordinator. In this role, Konnie has worked collaboratively with nine SNAP-Education implementing agencies and five SNAP-Outreach agencies to increase FNS outreach, promote nutrition education and obesity prevention. Prior to serving as SNAP Outreach and Education Coordinator with DHHS, Konnie served as Area Supervisor with Wake County Public School System (WCPSS), Child Nutrition Services. She was the lead for all Special Diets related concerns/accommodations in Wake County schools and supervised Cary area schools. Prior to her work with WCPSS, Konnie worked as a Bilingual Nutritionist with the WIC program, where she led the effort to decrease formula use and increase breastfeeding rate among Vietnamese mothers. Konnie also worked at Second Harvest Food Bank of Silicon Valley delivering nutrition education to children, adults, and seniors.
