Katherine Perkins is a Program Officer with the CDC Foundation, where she supports overdose prevention initiatives with a focus on strengthening public health and public safety partnerships. She supports project management, strategic planning, and evaluation of the Georgia Overdose Prevention Partnership program, and directly supports three coalitions across Northeast Georgia in developing community-driven strategies to reduce overdose and improve local response capacity. She also works on the national Overdose Response Strategy program, supporting cross-sector partnerships and overdose prevention activities in 15 jurisdictions across the Midwest and Southeast.

Katherine brings experience in project management, partnership development, and community health practice. Prior to joining the CDC Foundation, she served as the program director for a SAMHSA-funded mental health and homelessness program in Atlanta, leading a multidisciplinary team and working directly with individuals experiencing serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and homelessness.
