Heidi Cooper Comenetz

Heidi is NACo’s senior program manager for economic and workforce development. She is responsible for managing a portfolio that focuses on economic mobility and workforce development through providing effective resources and learning opportunities for county leaders. Current activities include a focus on supporting county governments to recruit and retain election administration staff and public safety workforce. Prior to joining NACo, Heidi was a technical officer at FHI 360 where her focus was on U.S. Department of Labor Young Adult Reentry Grants. Heidi received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and holds a master’s degree from the University of Connecticut at Storrs and a doctorate from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
