About

With over 36 years of experience in technology, Bob leads the Office of Information Technology and the Geographic Information System (GIS) department as the Chief Information Officer for Lehigh County Government. His Office services over 60 departments, offices and bureaus including Administration, the Courts System and all criminal justice agencies, Department of Human Services, the Prison, Nursing Home, Coroner, among other Departments. Bob and his team are responsible for all technology and projects overseen by IT and GIS including in-house developed and third-party applications, Internet and Intranet sites, Microsoft and OpenVMS based solutions, Security initiatives, and all computing platforms and network infrastructure. He developed and implemented a Security Department at Lehigh County with an Information Security Officer and an Information Security Manager. Bob serves on the County – Technology Advisory Committee for the National Association of Counties (NACo) and also participates in the Statewide Advisory Board for PA State and County CIO’s and Security Officers. He is the Technical Advisor for the regional Data Sharing initiative in Southeast PA for a centralized Police Records Management system for LEJIS – the Law Enforcement Justice Information Management System. He is a member of the PA Digital Government Advisory Board that is responsible for planning their Annual Conference. Bob has been married to Karen for over 33 years and has 2 daughters and a son – Molly, Caitlin, and Michael (married to Brooke).
