Biography

Allegra Joffe is Supervisor of the Fairfax Area Agency on Aging’s Caregiver and Support Services Unit has served in the Caregiver and Support Services Unit for the past two and half years. She has enriched the lives of caregivers in Fairfax through the development and implementation of successful and exciting caregiver programs. Allegra has built strong and creative partnerships in the community through outreach and education and works with coalitions, including the Virginia Caregiver Coalition and Dementia Friendly Fairfax, among others, to provide coordinated services to older adults and caregivers throughout the county. Along with her role in supporting caregivers, Allegra has recently taken the lead on the Support Services programs, helping ensure that community members can age safely at home. Prior to her time with Fairfax County, Allegra served as the executive director of Let’s Connect, LLC and was the program supervisor for PRS CareRing. She has served on the Long-Term Care Coordinating Council and the Steering Committee for the Northern Virginia Fall Prevention Alliance. She is a Dementia Friendly Virginia Champion trainer, 50+ Community Ambassador, and the Founder of the Millennial 50+ Ambassadors for Northern Virginia
