Abby Davidson

Abby serves as the director of NACo's Research, Policy and Governance Studies department, which provides thought leadership to America’s counties on critical issues facing county governments. She oversees original research on county roles and authorities in a broad array of policy and issue areas, including the roles and responsibilities of county government within the intergovernmental system, the federal policy implementation impacts to local government, macro and microeconomic issues and fiscal conditions, and more.

Abby holds Bachelor’s in International Business and Economics and a Master’s in Economics from the University of Arkansas. She joined NACo from the Aspen Institute, where she led research on the role of entrepreneurship in international development.
