Steve Stengel

Steve Stengel is the senior director of strategic engagement for NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, a competitive energy supplier with power generating assets in 38 states and Canada. NextEra Energy Resources is the world’s largest generator of renewable energy from the wind and sun, and a world leader in battery storage.

Mr. Stengel joined NextEra Energy Resources in 2002 as the manager of communications and has held a variety of communication roles of increasing responsibility. He previously served as director of communications and senior director of communication with responsibility for all renewable, nuclear and fossil generation assets.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Stengel worked at Dynegy, an independent power producer in Houston. He began his career in local TV.

Mr. Stengel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Eastern Illinois University, and a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from Oklahoma State University and an MBA from Oklahoma State University.
